Oh my gosh! She's actually, really here!!! Born today at 1:28; 7 lbs. 4.5 oz. and 18 inches long with curly hair! She is absolutely gorgeous. Sweet and very calm and quiet (at least for now!)
I don't think I've ever seen a daddy as smitten as Shawn is..I watched every emotion possible cross his face during Claire's birth. And I'll always be a sucker for dads who cry and hug their wives as that new life emerges.
Mommy was a trouper; Big Brother and Big Sister are ecstatic; Nana is exhausted.
I'll try to get pictures up tomorrow. It's just me and the kids again tonight and my brain is just not functioning very well.
But tonight's dreams will be much more pleasant than last night's worries.
As her Build-a-Bear says, "Hi, Claire Abagail! Nana and Grandpa love you!"

This is SO exciting! I can't believe the wait is finally over. I was thinking about Shawn yesterday and figured that would be his response. We are so happy for Mandy.
